This December 3, the “lanacion.com.py” website published a report on the due date for the tax payment reminded by the SET (Subsecretaría de Estado de Tributación – Undersecretariat of State for Taxation). Let us see:
1. Set’s communication on tax due dates
The SET reminded taxpayers indicating the calendar of tax payment due dates for December, which are as follows:
- Value Added Tax (VAT)
- Luxury tax
- Corporate income tax
- Free trade zone tax
- Maquila single tax
- Simple Corporate income tax
2. Payment of VAT withholdings
According to the website, the deadline to pay VAT withholdings is set for December 7, and the confirmation of the liquidation is until December 6.
Concerning the dividend and profit tax withholding liquidation, the period for its confirmation is set until December 12 and the deadline to pay it is December 13.
3. Tobacco products report – deadline
The deadline for the report on tobacco products is December 25.
4. Due date on a Non-Business day
According to SET, the due date will be transferred to the first following business day, depending on the fixed dates of each month corresponding to a non-business day, without implying the deferral of the other due dates.
5. Collection in november
The website specified that the total collection positively exceeded at the end of November 2021, 2.9% to the same period of 2020, and 9.2% compared to 2019. The SET collected US$223 million in cash and US$17 million in tax credit offsets, amounting to US$240 million.
